House Selling: 3 Quick Fixes to Get a Better Price for Your Home

Here are 3 quick house fixes that will allow you to get a better price and sell your house faster.

When selling your home, you want to make the sale as soon as possible and also earn as much as possible from your real estate listing.

Most homeowners are also in money distress, when it comes to selling their house, so a bigger price and not keeping the property listed for months in a row can really make a difference.

You are probably strapped for cash, so it’s not possible to undergo huge home renovation, since there’s no budget for this.

And yet there are some quick fixes that don’t cost and arm and a leg, but can make a huge difference.

Since the most important areas in your house are the bathroom and the kitchen, you can work on these and increase your property value more.

Properly clean the bathroom

In many homes the bathroom is pretty dirty. Mold and dirt find their place easily in all those crevices and potential buyers are disgusted to see it.

Anyone who is in the market to buy a new home would like to be able to use the bathroom as soon as possible and a dirty one won’t help your listing.

Fortunately there’s not too much investing to be done, just some good detergents and a lot of elbow grease.

Use bleach (or similar detergents), and a small brush and clean the grout.

Make sure the bathroom fixtures and appliances are also in top shape. If needed, change the faucets or get a bigger sink. A nice shower head doesn’t cost a fortune, but, being new, would make the difference.

Regrout the tile

In some cases the grout cannot be properly cleaned anymore and, no matter how hard you try, your bathroom still looks unsanitary.

Maybe it’s better to consider to regrout the tile.

You can find some inexpensive tiles that look gorgeous in your bathroom.

We got one of the cheapest for our country home and, properly tiled, it looked absolutely wonderful.

And nothing can beat the image of new, such a bathroom would look like a million bucks and cost you few hundred.

If your bathroom looks very clean and inviting, you’ve already done most of your selling work without having to spend a fortune on expensive renovation.

Clean and accessorize your kitchen

Now that we solved the bathroom in your house, let’s move into another very important room – the kitchen.

While many Americans don’t cook as much as other nations (Italians, Romanians etc.), they still love to hang out in the kitchen, so this has to be top notch.

Just like with your bathroom, make sure the floor / grout is spotless. Chances are you won’t need to re-do this, since it doesn’t get as dirty and moldy as the bathroom floor, but there’s still a lot of cleaning to be done.

If the cabinets don’t look great anymore, and you cannot afford new ones, why not paint them white?

It’s not such a tedious job and in few hours you can make a huge difference.

Clean the countertops, this can, again, improve your listing tremendously.

These are just few fixes that doesn’t cost you too much, but that will help you sell your home faster and earn more money on it.
