Gaming plays a huge part on todays society and nearly every home has a game console in. We all have heard of the PlayStation and the Xbox and of course Nintendo. But how many of us have heard of the OUYA? Nearly no one compared to the three giants and that is understandable because it is new and it is not launched yet. We might look at this from the point of a gamer, but we may not look at it from a point of view of a game developer who brings the games to us. I think we should look at what the OUYA will bring to developers and players whilst I also get you up to date with the whole idea of it. The OUYA is also powered by Android.
OUYA for developers
The OUYA will be an open source game console for the television. The giants like Xbox and PlayStation are not open source and therefore developing a game for us to play is expensive and hard. With OUYA it will not cost loads to get the game available for game players. People can edit the console and make it there own just by knowing what you are doing around the system. We all want extra things on the other consoles like a new fan or a better title when playing Call Of Duty, it can be done on OUYA.

Now a game console would not sell if it did not appeal to the game players. What will it offer for us? A lot is the answer. It will give us all the games we love with all our favorite genres. Shooting, racing, indie games and more. Minecraft will be available for the console as will Twitch so you can watch television via the console. It gives everyone the freedom to be able to do what you want with gaming and not have to pay a high amount of money. It is the inexpensive way of getting a console that you want with the games you want without boundaries.
OUYA has had a great backing so far and has reached a total of over $5,000,000 on the Kickstarter project. The main question asked is will it become big? It is new and from the backing it has already it looks like the people want it. From the sounds of it people are happy with what the team have to offer, so am I. They have been featured on big sites like PC World, Engadget and more and it looks like the project will go ahead. The backers of the project will expect to see the console to them in March and personally with the backing it has so far it is only a matter of time before it comes one of the top consoles in the current age.
They think that with the phone and tablet gaming people are really missing out on what used to be the best, television gaming, I also agree with this. Our history of growing up was all console gaming for the younger people here. Now it is all about the 3Ds and the iPhone and console gaming has been missed. They hope to bring the life back to the television gaming era and make the next best thing.
So far I think the console looks promising and hope it will do well in the future. Let’s hope this is the next best console on the market as it surely offers what I want. Yeah. I like the idea of open source and that could get a big network of developers that can not afford the high prices to develop for Xbox ect but trying to top Microsoft and Sony will be hard and the bigger game companies like Infinity Ward would rather pay the extra to reach more buyers.
