Moral Decisions

We all are involved in deciding moral decisions from the government, the law and also us individually. We have to decide if something is right or wrong and what we should do about it. All of us will face hard choices in our life and we will not always make the right decision about it however we will always learn from the choices we make. You may look back to regret this but it happens to everyone me included and I am sure you know what I am on about. Choices are not easy to make and they are even harder if you are faced with something important to decide and if you make the wrong choice you can cause harm to more people than yourself. I am going to discuss about a situation on where you have to make an important choice which could either save or harm and make it fast. I would like to hear from the readers what you would do and why.

Should/would you torture someone in a terrorist bomb situation?

Basically, in this made up scenario would you be willing to torture someone if you were part of the government to find out information about the bomb attack to save the people of the country? They of course knew something important about the attack but would not give up any information. If it was my choice I think I would be willing to because injuring one person who wants to cause harm to many others is better than putting the lives of many others at risk for the sake of if it was the right choice or not. I find it better to hurt someone who is bad than potentially hurt many others from not doing anything about this. However, some may not agree with my choice and feel that there is better ways to deal with it. It would be a really hard choice for me to make and I would most likely regret it if the situation was real but in a real life scenario you would have to make a choice quickly and that is the choice I would make to attempt to save many others. What would you do if this was your decision to make?

When making choices you should always think about it a lot before you actually make a final choice. You could change your mind a lot of times and if you have already said something you can not really go back on your word. I suggest you always keep your mind open and listen to advice given. Think about the positives and negatives of making the choice and always talk to someone about it before you make your choice. You do not want to go with something that you will end up regretting so always make sure you actually know what you are doing and the consequences of doing that before you actually make it. At the end of the day, you do not want to make a bad choice and then regret it. So always THINK!

What is the hardest choice you have had to make in your life?
