I always liked the idea of having New Year’s resolutions, just because it forces to your do SOMETHING and track your progress.
My best years, business and financially speaking, were those I also tracked my spending and income, tried to become more productive and keep procrastination at minimum. The only issue with ‘self’ is that after a great year I tend to slack off and the next one is not as good as it could be. Or I don’t know for sure, since I never bothered to really keep up with my money statistics.
2017 was a good year, even in this case. I spent a lot of time with my daughter, traveled for a month and a half, had some awesome clients, acquired some cool new domains to develop in my personal network, met some amazing people and enjoyed my freedom as a freelancer.
The only downside was that my grandmother (who raised me) died of Lung Cancer, otherwise it was a pretty dandy year.
For 2018 I have 3 main resolutions:
1. keep track of my budget/income
I tried various solutions and still love Ace Money. I find it to be the PERFECT solution for me. (Here is my Ace Money review). So, now that I decided to use it, I’ll just have to be diligent in my budgeting efforts.
2. keep on trying to find productivity solutions for me
Good planning and focus can go a long way, so I’m always interested in finding ways I can outperform myself. Since we have only 24 hours in a day and I also have a family with a small kid to take care of, being productive allows me to still be in business and care for my loved ones at the same time.

3. travel even more
My daughter had a 6 week vacation this year and saw Italy, Spain, Montenegro and Croatia. We plan on doing even more traveling this year, since we both believe it’s one of the best things for her. She already loves traveling, has learnt so many things and there’s still a lot to see in this world.
This is my little plan for 2018.
What about you?
